While I was off rafting the great north woods, Atlanta was overrun by frogloks.
Aggro Me has a firsthand overview of the weekend’s events, in his usual enthusiastic style. I truly had an amazing time. If I wasn’t passionate about EQII and online gaming in general, I wouldn’t write about it every day. So the opportunity to talk with both players and SOE employees who are just as passionate as I am (if not more so) was absolutely a great experience. From arguing about conceptual ideas to laughing about PvP antics, I enjoyed every minute.”
Jon Wood over at MMORPG.com has a three part piece looking at everything that SOE was offering up during the long weekend.
One of those things is apparently a ‘classic server’ for EQ, as reported by WarCry. “This server will begin with only the original game unlocked at first. As groups or guilds defeat certain triggered encounters, new expansions will become unlocked. It will be a no-transfer server so everyone is starting off at the beginning of the game.”
Wow. Look out Blizzard.
