Well the WoW TCG actually has some good play mechanics which was a big concern for a lot of us MtG players looking for something new. Since we all knew a lot of first time CCG players were going to be coming over it was a real threat that it was going to be too simple. Simple CCG = dead fast. WoW CCG has enough mechanics that expansions won't need to reinvent things hopefully.

I don't know where I stand with the tie ins to the MMORPG. People bitch about the points, but the whole idea was to reward you over time... not reward you for buying $900 worth of cards on launch day. The CCG was meant to be played as a game... got me where these idiots read that it was meant as just a way to buy their way ahead in the MMORPG.

Oh well. I haven't been excited about a CCG in a long time. MtG has lost thunder with the overcomplicated Time Spiral launch and further pushes itself into the realm of unfriendly to play. WoW's CCG is a breath of fresh air... now if I can just find some more people to play with :P My local shop sold out the day it came out to the first few customers so I haven't even gotten my cards yet (I don't buy my CCGs from any other store or the net).
