There are very few companies that ‘complete me’ from a gaming perspective. Blizzard, BioWare, Bethesda … lots of B’s, now that I think about it.
Valve did it again last week. I love Half-Life 2 with an unyielding passion, and the triple threat of Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2 has crushed my gaming life in the last week.

“Still Alive” is also stuck in my head. I’ve found that listening to it about 500 times in a row starts to rub the shine off. But the gleam begins to return when I stop listening to it… Insidious!
I love the Orange Box, but I can’t find anyone to take my gift codes either :P TF2 is one of the best shooters I’ve played in a while, because it takes out the l33t and allows the average Joe to have some fun. The l33t players hate it, but thats cool with me.
My experience with TF2 goes as follows:
Old-timer TFC player: “Blah blah blah sucks. Blah blah no grenades. Sucks sucks sucks. Grenades. Grenades. Blah blah sucks. Grenades. Grenades. Sucks sucks want grenades.”
And then they proceed to wipe the walls with me. And call me an effing noob.
And I have a great time anyway. Tons o’ fun.
At least until they start getting past the VALVe Anti-Cheat barricade.
