I figure it’s within the realm of possibility that some of you reading this are heading to the ‘best four days in gaming’ this year, GenCon Indy 2008. If you are, I want to make sure to point out a fantastic resource that my friend Alan De Smet offers up free of charge every year. See, the events system on the official site sucks. A lot.

Alan snarfs the data every year, and offers up this fantastic alternative. The best part of his offering is that he cleans up the data! So D&D, DuNgeons and DRaGons, d&dragons, etc, all become Dungeons and Dragons. No, the official site doesn’t do this. Yes, they’re code-tards.

I’m going (as I do every year) and I hope I might have the chance to see you there. If you are planning on going, event reg starts (and effectively ends) a week from today, Sunday the 20th. Make sure to register as early as possible, because all the really good stuff goes fast! Keep rolling those 20s.
