I got the first copy of EGM when it went mass market. I think it had Ironsword on the cover? Anyhow, ever since then, working for EGM and then later for 1up in some way has always been a dream for me. Heck, if they had stayed in Illinois, where I live, I may have finally had the stones to some day bash the door in and demand a job, once I got my degree. Sadly, they had taken wing to San Fran before I got that chance. I suppose a lot of it has to do with the flux in our economy and in publishing specifically, but it's sad to see many of these changes. It's tough when your dream job kinda disappears, and it's sad to see some of those guys go. Like you, I don't know how any could fire Milky, and I'm still sad over Shu having left awhile back. Oh well, such is life. Hopefully UGO let's the remaining cast do their thing, at least a little.
